ABOUT
Douglas has been an avid lover of arthouse cinema ever since 1992, when his mum took him to watch Kevin McAllister take on the mean streets of NYC in Home Alone 2.
After “graduating” from The University of Reading with a degree in Typography and Graphic Communication (he finished the 3 years and contested his final grade but can’t actually remember if this was ever officially resolved) and a brief stint serving up warm and tasty Dominoes pizzas to the citizens of Warwick, Warwickshire, he too packed up his bags, determined to take on the mean streets of New York City, just like his hero, Kevin McAllister.
Douglas then went on to graduate from NYFA (please feel free to mistake this for NYU) with a masters degree in filmmaking.
Since then, he spent the next several years in the camera department, working on films, tv, commercials and at one point a reality show that really managed to blur the line between weeknight entertainment and what’s commonly known as porn (If you’re curious, google the show 3AM).
Now based in London with his wife, Lupe, and dog, Jumble, Douglas continues to write and direct his own projects, as well as collaborating with others.
